THE SLUTTE BEER
"A project based on the synergy of skills and the richness of multi-creativity..."
The Slutte is a Brussels beer (Jette) developed and produced since August 2018 by a group of passionate friends who have created a beverage that reflects their values: conviviality, friendship and humour.
Members of the Cercle Sportif Saint-Pierre, a sports club from Jette, which celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2019, these fans of the third half-time decided one day to create their own hopped beverage…

With a brewing engineer amongst them, the 13 project participants agreed on the beer's appearance, aroma, taste and mouthfeel after several memorable tasting sessions.

With a coppery appearance (EBC 32), the Slutte offers a slightly fuzzy brightness with a fine, beige-colored foam. The Slutte (ALC 6,2%) skillfully combines a hoppy taste (citrus and fruity) and a pronounced bitterness (IBU 30) that gives it its character. Its mouthfeel reflects a medium astringency, soft body, low CO2 saturation and average mouth length (up to 60 seconds).
Ingrédients list:
- Malts: Barley (Pilsen, Pale Ale, Cara Gold, Special Belgium), Rye
- Hops: Amerisant (Sorachi Ace, Simcoe), Aromatic (Simcoe, Citra), Dry Hopping (Citra, Mosaïc)
- Spice: Bark sweet orange
- Yeast: SafAle US05
The name of the beer was chosen in homage to Germaine Slutte, a famous Jettoise woman who died in 1968 in New York.
Although Jettoise, Slutte is brewed in collaboration with Brasserie Grain d'Orge, a Belgian craft company located in the village of Hombourg in the North of the province of Liège and specialised in the production of custom beers.
